In 2005, with my husband, a farmer, we decided to transform an old barn, ideally located facing the mountains, and in a preserved Natura 2000 place, into a rural cottage,
for which we have obtained the Gîtes de France 3 épis label.
We wanted to allow holidaymakers to discover our beautiful region, rich in renowned tourist sites (Cirque de Gavarnie, Pic du Midi, Caves of Bétharram, Sanctuaries of Notre Dame de Lourdes, among others;;;),
as well as our profession as sheep and goat breeders.
Since then, our daughters have joined us at the farm,
The eldest transforms the milk into cheeses, yoghurts, cottage cheeses, milk jam, with her husband, who has just set up, as does our youngest daughter, who is starting an organic market gardening business.
All are delighted to welcome, depending on the season, and their availability, both schoolchildren and holidaymakers, to make them discover farm life, milking, or animal care.
As for me, I have the pleasure of welcoming and advising our guests, and of marketing our farm products, (dairy products and meat), on the markets and in short circuits.
Our guests appreciate above all, the calm of the place, the surrounding nature, the fact that they can recharge their batteries, without being totally cut off from the world.
Many of them become regulars over the years.
We have thus forged beautiful bonds of friendship.
The proximity and diversity of hiking trails allows you to take nice walks, without taking the car, another source of relaxation, economy and ecology.
Another popular point is the ground floor of the gîte, which includes a dining room, living room, kitchen, double bedroom with en-suite shower room.
On one level, with many amenities such as the walk-in shower.
It is labeled tourism and disabilities for the four impairments, ideal for people with disabilities, or simply, having difficulty climbing a staircase, for example.
